Printing Workflow & Color Management Analysis

A major telephone directory printer needed to print process color in Yellow Page directories within the current limitations of press and paper. We analyzed many aspects of their workflow, including file formats, font distribution, pre-press proofing, and color management. Recommendations have resulted in significant workflow improvements.

Color Printer Purchase Criteria and Product Selection

A major telephone directory publisher needed to upgrade to process color in Yellow Page directories. We analyzed their color and black & white printing requirements for eight distinct projects and established quality, format, performance, and usage criteria. For one project requiring significant color printing for advertisement proofing and sales support, we recommended redeployment of some existing printers and the purchase of new desktop printers. Continuing to pursue the strategy we developed, the client saved over $1 million from their preliminary purchase plan.
